THE GREAT MIRACULOUS ICON MOTHER OF GOD KAZAN Also known as "Theotos of Kazan" or "The Black Virgin of Kazan", it occupies a prominent position in the Russian Orthodox Church. Tradition states that the image was a gift from patriarch Constantinople of Germany II to the inhabitants of the city of Kazan in the 13th century, in order to have the comfort of Theometoros, from the frequent raids of the other sexes and the other religions.However the image was stolen in 1904 and shortly afterwards it became known that it was destroyed. The sizes are about : W - 4.5" , L - 5.7" (11.5cm x 14.5cm). This precious icon is an original copy of Byzantine sacred image. Reproduced using typical colours of iconography and this item is covered with pure silver 999%, Using the PVD - Physical Vapour Deposition technology, according to the European rules. The icon has been submitted to a special treatment so as to remain unalterable through the years. Icon made by hand from MDF, brown color, Gold and silver version.
